Littlehampton 7 v County Red Oaks 4
The same opening pair that set Littlehampton off on a 2 – 0 defeat last week, reversed their fortunes this week and opened the match 2 – 0 in Littlehampton’s favour.
First up was Jason Hills (26.37) with a 180 and a 126 finish Jason tied the match up with a comfortable 3 – 0 win over Dave Fleming (19.91), Simon Rogers (24.02) put the second on the board with a 3 – 2 win over Darren Baker (23.18).
Next up was Conner Durham (18.16) returning to the team replacing Darin Bird, Conner capitalised well on Ollie Sopp’s (20.20) failure to hit doubles, but Ollie controlled the fifth leg from start to finish to win 3 -2 over Conner.
County Oak levelled the match when Gary Blackwood (24.35) went down 3 – 2 to the Oak’s Peter Sopp (23.78), despite a 180 from Gary, back to back 11 & 15 put Gary on the back foot through out the Fifth leg,
County Oak then took a 4 – 2 lead, On form Simon Parsons (28.36) which looked like yet another man of the match for Simon winning over Littlehampton’s Matt Bourner (21.48), and Harry Annals (21.72) putting up a gutsy performance against the Red Oaks old pro Martin Baker (23.95) but going down 3 – 1 .

Worthing 8 v Littlehampton 3
Littlehampton travelled to Worthing for this week’s game.
Simon Rogers was first up failing to hit winning doubles in two of the opening three legs Simon (22.23) went on to loose to Paul Paice (22.82) 3 – 1.
Next up was Jason Hills, trying to find his first win on the Worthing board was still unable to produce the darts on the board that has become his nemesis, Jason (22.60) went on to loose 3 – 0 to a very on form John Johnson (25.47).
Littlehampton came back with wins from Graeme Dutton (22.09) 3 – 2 against Ken Sowerby (20.35)
and yet another MOM performance from Mick Rogers (30.06) winning 3 – 1 against Dayle Smith (24.90)
At two all the fifth game produced a 5 leg thriller with Harry Annals (19.73) just loosing out to Charlie Johnson (21.14) at the end of the fifth leg.
Matt Bourner failed to take advantage of a very poor and rare performance from James Greenfield, Matt (17.54) failing to hit doubles lost 3 – 0 to James (18.56).
Next up was Darin Bird (16.91), still trying to get a much needed win under his belt loosing out 3 -1 to Richard Stanford (19.88).
Littlehampton pulled one back with Pete Wellstead (18.93) making his debut game for Littlehampton won 3 – 2 against Steve Hart (19.28).
The last game of the evening saw the same old story, Gary Blackwood (24.94) was another victim of missed doubles, failing to win the first two legs due to doubles went on to loose 3 – 0 to Lee Gladman (27.83)
Yet again another good performance from the team, just loosing out to those illusive doubles, but signs of good things to come, well done lads, and nice to see new players wanting to join us as well, we can only grow in strength, good start for a new team.

just to say what a enjoyable night the support on are side was brillant and the suport for youwasgood as well .if you can get the aptmoshere like we do it gives you that extra game as you saw agaist jason hills .well good luck for the rest of the season.newmarket boys
Following your challenges over the last couple of games - remember, 1) Support = extra player for the team, 2) Its a long season, so a few "blips" don't make a trend, 3) Every team you lose against is the team you'll BEAT next time!!..
Keep it together, Guys - just be patient, keep practicing & lap up the S/L experience - the LDO quality will shine out in the end..!! (;-}) - P.S. Make sure Mr Hills gets a MOM once in a while!! (lol) - take care from the "Woolf"..
(Posted on 2010-06-17 21:41:00 by Paul Woolfenden)
think the team needs to gel better as a team as seems to be lack of support during games . our first 2 games were now their seems to be none . except for mick rogers even when you dont need it lol . any way heads up lads if i can do it so can u .

just keepin tryin every week soon it will pay off
(Posted on 2010-06-10 19:12:00 by Harry Annals)
I think it takes losses like this to regroup as a player and a team. Like Andy says, its a new team and you've had a great start to the season considering 70% of the team have never played Superleague before. Clearly some under-par performances looking at the averages - just one of them nights, we all have them (some more than others!!)

Littlehampton 2 v Mid Sussex Reds 9
Littlehampton crashed to their second defeat following there worse performance of the season. A match that should have been on paper one of the games of the season turned out to be a disappointment by both sides, missed doubles and under par performances left the match looking like any thing other than a super league match.
Littlehampton opened the scoring with wins from Jason Hills (22.68) winning 3 – 2 over Colin Gurr (22.44) a match that saw 19 ton plusses and neither player wanting to hit the double.
Matt Bourner returned to his winning ways with another good performance, failing to hit doubles and secure two 16 dart legs Matt (20.59) still comfortably won 3 – 0 over Derek Furminger (17.85).
Littlehampton failed to take a 3 – 0 lead when Simon Rogers (20.40) missed doubles to win 3 – 0 over Dave Awcock (22.73) and went on to loose 3 – 1 to Dave.
The wheels then fell and things got worse for the home team, Darin Bird returning from his holiday failed to perform, Darin (15.88) lost 3 – 0 to Jason Yates (23.12), despite hitting a 100 finish, this was a very under par performance from Jason.
Two time MOM Mick Rogers added to Littlehampton’s grief, expectations of regaining the lead vanished when missed doubles left Mick (23.89) loosing 3 - 1 to Dean Edlin (20.57)Littlehampton went on to loose the remaining 4 games, the two youngsters Connor Durham (15.42) loosing 3 – 0 to Neil Smith (22.10), despite Neil hitting an opening 13 darts leg, which included a 180, missed doubles in the second and a bad third leg cost him a MOM performance.
Harry Annals (21.64) lost 3 – 1 to Gary Newman (24.34) Gary Blackwood (23.58) loosing to Mid Sussex’s MOM Andy Macintosh (24.64) and Captain Andy Hills (16.75) finished Littlehampton’s misery failing to continue his good form loosing 3 – 1 to Dan Grimmett (19.80)
Chins up lads, its not as bad as it seems, remember it’s a new team and a new venue, we don’t even have a home board advantage yet as the throw is new to us. Well done to the players who are playing super league for the first time, as any of the teams in the league will tell you, it will take a season or two to gel as a team, we have the players in the squad, and it will just take time.

LITTLEHAMPTON 4 V BROADBRIDGE HEATH 7

Simon Rogers (20.82) put the Hampton team on the score sheet winning 3 - 1 against the Heath’s Ian Homewood (18.22). When Craig Stoner (21.64) still looking for his first win went down 3-2 to the Heath’s Martin Dunston (21.01) this put Littlehampton 3 - 1 down.
Littlehampton levelled the match at 3 - 3 with wins from Gary Blackwood (21.17) 3 - 0 against Mark Howe (17.68) and Mick Rogers (27.70) with his second MOM performance in 3 games winning 3 - 1 against Greg Upton (24.07)
Littlehampton fell behind again with Captain Andy Hills (23.48) missing doubles to win going down 3 - 2 to Mick Clarke (20.58).
Trying to level the match again young Harry Annals (19.13) could not find his game and was not strong enough against Broadbridge’s player of the night Dave Bullen (24.24) winning 3 - 0 and the match.
Jason Hills (27.33) won the last match for Hampton 3 -0 against Steve Adsett (22.71) to leave the final score 5 - 4 to Broadbridge Heath.

Match 3 saw Roffey opening point with Natham Pearce defeating Craig Stoner on his super league debut, Nathan taking a 170 shot out to win.
Wins from Darin Bird also making his super league debut and Matt Bourner put littlehampton into a 4-1 lead. Roffey continued there fight back with wins from Warren Grantham and Tony Peters both with 23+ averages.
Littlehampton completed their victory with wins from Captain Andy Hills and the MOM performance from Jason Hills with a 28.90 average.
Many thanks to the rest of the squad for their suport.

Hi All, I have only just seen this thread, thus the late reply. I normally play superleague for BBH, but I have not commited to any team yet in the summer. TBH it kind of depends on which way the vote tomorrow goes as to where I will play in the summer. Thanks for even considering me for your team though.

Hi Dayle
We will be there, speaking to Barry, this seems to be the lewisladies that want this. Barry feels the majority want the singles, but like you say, votes are needed
(Posted on 2010-05-01 09:43:00 by Andy Hills)

Littlehampton 4 – 2 down had to pull out all the stops to pull the match back, two of the best matches of the evening followed.
Graeme Dutton (20.02) come out on top beating Russell Vanner (22.21) in a match that saw 19 tons and both players adding to the tension with missed doubles., Graeme eventually coming out on top 3 -2 winner.
Next saw Mick Rogers( 29.89) against another on form player Dan Waller (23.39) this game produced 17 tons and 3 x 180, at 2 -2 Mick showed his class producing a 13 dart leg wrapped up the game 3 -2 with another MOM performance.
With the match poised at 4 – 4.
Pete Wellsted (22.18) pull out a 3 – 1 over the Oak’s Steve Penny (22.88) despite a 180 from Steve, Pete’s clinical finishing gave Littlehampton the overall win and the bonus points.

Despite some good darts from Portslade this was to be their only win of the evening.
Harry Annals (19.94) winning 3 – 2 Paul Burnett (20.14) despite a 180 in the fifth leg from Paul, young Harry kept his nerve to secure the winning double.

just to say what a enjoyable night the support on are side was brillant and the suport for youwasgood as well .if you can get the aptmoshere like we do it gives you that extra game as you saw agaist jason hills .well good luck for the rest of the season.newmarket boys
Hi Guys,
Following your challenges over the last couple of games - remember, 1) Support = extra player for the team, 2) Its a long season, so a few "blips" don't make a trend, 3) Every team you lose against is the team you'll BEAT next time!!..
Keep it together, Guys - just be patient, keep practicing & lap up the S/L experience - the LDO quality will shine out in the end..!! (;-}) - P.S. Make sure Mr Hills gets a MOM once in a while!! (lol) - take care from the "Woolf"..
think the team needs to gel better as a team as seems to be lack of support during games . our first 2 games were now their seems to be none . except for mick rogers even when you dont need it lol . any way heads up lads if i can do it so can u .
just keepin tryin every week soon it will pay off
I think it takes losses like this to regroup as a player and a team.
A disappointed Littlehampton returned from Broadbridge Heath their first away game of the season.
Missed doubles cost them their third consecutive win of the season
With Darin Bird on holiday, Conner Durham (19.72) Littlehampton’s second youngster making his debut game, missing his doubles to win the match, went on to loose 3 - 2 to the Heath’s Gary Kennard (21.71)
Looking to level the match with Matt Bourner (19.01) up next, failing to produce the darts he found in his opening two matches went on to loose 3 - 1 to the Heath’s Ady Davis (19.86).
Jason Hills (27.33) won the last match for Hampton 3 -0 against Steve Adsett (22.71) to leave the final score 5 - 4 to Broadbridge Heath.
good win again lads
LITTLEHAMPTON 7 V CRAWLEY 4
Littlehampton played host to Crawley on their first official home match, with the new throw up and running, thanks to Gary Palmer and James Stephenson.
Both teams went into this fixture with wins on their opening matches, and this was always set to be a close match.
Littlehampton opened the scoring with wins from Captain Andy Hills (21.97) and Harry Annals (22.30) one of Littlehampton’s young stars of the future with his first win of the season, coming out on top of a 3-2 epic against Crawley’s own young star of the future Owen Grantham (21.64)
Crawley responded with their first come back of the evening with wins from Ian Holman (17.42) and Nigel Panton (24.07).
Littlehampton took control again with wins from Jason Hills (23.14) and Gary Blackwood (21.17), putting Littlehampton 4 – 2 up.
Crawley’s second come back saw wins from Andy Gurr (21.69) over powering the in-form Matt Bourner (23.80) and from Kevin Fishwick (23.12)
The match poised at 4 – 4.
The evening was rounded of with a match that saw 15 tons, a 110 game shot, and a MOM performance from Mick Rogers (27.25) beating Crawley’s Adam Campbell (23.14) 3 – 2 to take the win and bonus points, giving Littlehampton their second win this season.

LITTLEHAMPTON 8 - ROFFEY ROYALS 3
Littlehampton opened there return season with a 8 - 3 win over Roffey Royals. With the reversed fixtures causing a few teething problems getting the venue ready a week early, we would like to thank Roffey for their patients, and again, another enjoyable evening.
Littlehampton opened the ...scoring with wins fron Gary Blackwood and Mike Rogers, their oponents Pete Wickersham and Andy Mason, both games decided on missed and hit doubles.

I guess we will have to put Guy in a dress and some lippy!
PS.You still got time to sign for the next top team. LOL
Hi Dayle
We will be there, speaking to Barry, this seems to be the lewisladies that want this. Barry feels the majority want the singles, but like you say, votes are needed
hi guys hope a few of you are going up to roffey tomorrow . there going to vote on the format of games, would be nice to keep it as any 9 players rather than 6 men and 3 women. i can see a few teams dropping out if they introduce this . (your votes may be needed) hope to see you tomorrow. ... good luck for the season:
Heh, heh - nice one James!..
Looks like I wont be back too soon (the "Fluen" club has been joined & i'm lined up for some regional comps & a kind of county-style system!). Looks like you've got a good team assembled so far - good luck when it starts..
